glimpse in to the custom knife making world it is truly a pilgrimage

WOW!
Well it has been a while since I have posted so here we go. Business has
been great on the commercial side and as well on the residential side. I
was out at one of our commercial customers the other day and as i was
making the rounds I saw one of the chef's I had sold a knife too with
her hands all bandaged up. Hmmmmm so what happened to those
fingers?.......'well remember that knife you sold me?' "yes" 'well after
you left I cut myself'........the pictures tell the story.

It will last how long??
While attending the Blade Show we met a lot of new people and one of them was George Lambert of Titan Knife Technologies and Chris Rosener of Rocklin Industries. They were demonstrating a new machine with time proven technology behind it. Well long story short this machine deposits a thin layer of tungsten carbide along the edge of your knife, shears or tools that can easily double and even triple the service life of the edge. Anyways we were impressed with the machine and the people and we are currently looking in to adding this process to our current sharpening service, we will keep you posted.
Blade Show 2011
Every year we make the pilgrimage to the Blade Show in Atlanta. This year was no different, and the show just seems to get better every year. This year Murray Carter was absent but it was good to see Eddie White of Shadow Knives and Brian Goode of B.Goode Knives. Their work is incredible and they are just nice guys. The highlight of the show was seeing Takeda San, he is just awesome. I was able to pick up a nice Gyuto from him and as of this posting we have become an authorized dealer for 'Takeda Knives'.
So if you are looking awesome Japanese cutlery give us a call or send us an email and we can get you hooked up with a nice Takrda
